Collection: DAHLIA TUBERS
FROM OUR GARDEN TO YOURS
Dahlia tubers are sold individually. As we are not large-scale growers, stock is limited and tubers may sell out.
All tubers are sold with visible eyes and are ready to plant after your last frost. Each tuber is packaged with the utmost care. Occasionally, shoots may break during transit; this does not affect the tuber’s viability.
If you have any concerns about your tuber, please contact us within 3 days of receiving it.
Magnolia House Blooms accepts no responsibility for improper storage of your tuber before planting.
Shipping will commence mid October onwards.

Growing Tips
for a successful dahlia season
- tubers are not beauty queens - small and ugly provide stunning blooms
- tubers are ready to plant after the risk of frost has passed
- plant tuber horizontally, with eye and shoot facing upward
- plant in well draining soil, approximately 10-15cm deep, and 40 cm apart
- refrain from watering until shoots are above the ground, otherwise watering to early can cause rot
- support your dahlia growth by staking or corralling
- once tubers are shooting, give them a good water twice a week - more if the weather is hot
- pinch your plants when approximately 20cm tall, this promotes more lateral shoots
- deadheading flowers and generous picking promotes more blooms and extends flowering
- we recommend digging and dividing at the end of the season
- enjoy your beautiful dahlia growing journey
